The Climb to the Top of Africa

I reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro on New Year's Day 2020. Traveling to Africa was high on my destination list, as I chased my goal of reaching all 7 continents before I turned 30 (Africa would be #6). While researching Africa, I came across the stories of Kilimanjaro. The chance to summit the tallest free standing mountain in the world?? That sounded right up my alley! (I always love a good challenge). So, I researched that a bit more, and before I knew it, everything was booked. Sleeping on the Edge of a Cliff in Peru

Natura Vive is a unique experience located in the nestled Sacred Valley in Peru, right outside the town of Ollantaytambo. They offer a climbing experience, as well as ziplining, or you can choose the ultimate package and do both, with an overnight stay in their "skylodge". I'll give you one guess as to which one I chose 馃槈

A Solo Adventure in Acadia National Park

Realistically, if anyone is looking for an outdoor adventure within America, I would immediately recommend any National Park without hesitation. However, just like cities, each park has its own unique vibes and characteristics. If you are looking for a park that offers peaceful solitude with a magical "fairy-tale" setting, Acadia is the place to go.

In September of 2020 (yes, the horrid year of 2020!) I decided to do a week long solo trip. Partially just because I wanted to go somewhere new, and partially for a personal mental break. I chose Acadia National Park because I had never been there, I love the outdoors, and it was easy enough for me to drive to. The entire experience was nothing short of extraordinary.
